e-commerce management policy finalized
The Ministry of Commerce has finalized the draft guideline or SOP on digital commerce management policy. This time the draft will become law soon.
The draft was finalized at an inter-ministerial meeting of the Commerce Ministry on Wednesday, chaired by Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh. The meeting was moderated by Hafizur Rahman, DG, WTO Cell.
e-Cab presented the draft SOTT in the presence of representatives of various government organizations at the meeting.
e-Cab President Shami Kaiser, General Secretary Abdul Waheed Tamal and General Manager Jahangir Alam Shovon were present on the occasion.
Syed Almas Kabir, President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), expressed his views on the e-Cab proposal at the meeting.
In order to ensure transparency and accountability in the management of digital commerce, the final draft of 'Digital Commerce Management Guidelines 2021' will be issued in the form of a notification soon. In the case of fast commerce, escrow (transaction through the third party after delivery of goods) has been mentioned. e-Cab leaders believe that if this policy is implemented, the interests of both buyers and sellers of e-commerce will be protected.
